Yamaha piano award Riverton Piano CompanyRiverton Piano Company is proud to announce that – thanks to the continued support of our clients, our community partners and piano enthusiasts all over Arizona – our company has achieved a major milestone.  This year, Riverton was awarded the “Outstanding Performance and Growth” Award from Yamaha and Bosendorfer.  We also received the “Excellence in Sales and Customer Service” award from Yamaha.  Baldwin honored us for our “Best in the Nation” sales and support for Baldwin pianos.  …and we continue to be the #1 sales outlet for Schumann Pianos all over North America.  In short, these awards put us at #1 in the Nation for sales and customer service for:

It’s an incredible honor and we can’t thank you enough for your support!  It is incredibly rare for a dealership to reach “Best in the Nation” status for one brand.  Imagine our excitement upon reaching that status with every brand we carry!

Why Did We Win These Awards?

First and foremost, we know that our success is driven by your love of music and your determination to support and nurture local, family-owned businesses.  We can’t thank you enough for this support and for helping us accomplish all we have so far.  …but let’s break that down a bit.  Here are some specific things that we think have contributed to these awards:

“Best in the Nation” After-the-Sale Support

Riverton Piano Company is one of the very few American piano retailers who offer a dedicated online portal – only available to our clients.  This portal includes hundreds of videos that show new piano owners how to operate and care for their new digital pianos or player piano systems. Also included are free educational videos, in-home or in-store tutorials, and unlimited telephone support. We believe that our relationship begins at the sale.  It doesn’t end there. That’s why we pour so much into our “after the sale’ experience.  I have never worked for a company that offered this level of support, and the word must be spreading about what we do.

In partnership with our non-profit organization, Pianos for Students Society, we participate in piano loan programs, fundraisers and community outreach initiatives all over Arizona.  From providing pianos for organizations like the Phoenix Music Teacher’s Association’s “Music in the Mall” Holiday performance program to loaning pianos for the Arizona Music Educators’ Association’s annual convention, we work hard to help area educators build the next generation of music makers in Arizona.  We also have our own Piano Education Partnership program (now over 500 families strong!) that works with area piano teachers to provide piano students and their families with meaningful musical memories, including introducing them to World-famous pianists, providing live performance opportunities and even featuring them in our YouTube videos and entire YouTube livestream recitals!  Nobody cares more about Arizona piano students than Riverton and that enthusiasm is contagious!

Piano Showroom Maintenance and Preparation

We want to make shopping for a piano a fun and low-stress experience for people who walk into our stores.  Each piano must be unboxed, prepared, tuned and then (in some cases), professionally voiced and regulated by a high-level technician before they can be played on our showroom floors!  Some of our team double as forklift operators – unloading freight trucks and stacking pianos in our Arizona warehouse.  Then – once unboxed and made “showroom ready,” each piano’s crate and packing materials have to be properly discarded.  It’s alot of work, but it’s the way we ensure that your piano playing experience is fun and relaxing – every day!

Roland Award for Riverton Piano Company“Best in the Nation” Piano Professionals

Our team of piano professionals each has over 25 years of experience in the piano industry.  Each is a pianist in his or her own right and each has decades of experience helping pair piano shoppers up with their dream instruments – and making sure they get the care and support they deserve throughout the sales process.  Our team doesn’t do “high pressure.”  We focus on your needs and work hard to earn the reputation we’ve build both online and in the community.  It’s extremely difficult to find one piano professional with the skills necessary to accomplish all of this.  We are extremely fortunate to have FOUR full-time piano pros in Arizona!  No doubt, this was a big factor with these awards.

Every Day Teamwork

We all wear many hats!  It’s not unusual for my Peoria colleagues to jump on a forklift, assemble a grand piano or put together dozens of digital pianos for a school piano lab.  It’s not uncommon for one of our piano technicians to stretch out an already busy day to fit in that “one last tuning” so we can deliver a piano to an excited family. Our delivery crew frequently works beyond normal work hours and on weekends doing anything it takes to get the job done! I have even been known to rush to a school or venue at the last minute to help with an emergency – even after hours!  We all work in many different directions – trying to do all we can for the people who put their faith in us and our business.

…and I can’t forget our owners, Kevin and Jami Rindlisbacher, In 1968, Kevin’s dad cleared out a chicken coup in Riverton, Utah, and began repairing band instruments for high school students.  Since that time, the Rindlisbacher family has been THE hardest working music retailers in our industry. I’ll never forget when I first arrived here and saw Kevin moving pianos! I had never seen a business owner delivering pianos by himself – just so they would arrive within the promised time! Kevin and Jami both work extremely hard both to establish a high standard for the rest of us, and to demonstrate that our clients deserve only the very best.  We all work to follow that example.

What Does the Future Hold for Riverton?

After reading all of this, you can understand how incredibly proud we are of these awards. It feels wonderful for our industry to recognize us and the work we do supporting local musicians and representing the finest piano brands in the world! Selling pianos is so much more than just writing up a sale at your desk. I hope the next time you stop by one of our stores, you’ll understand a little bit more of how our business works, and how hard we work to make sure our customers and clients receive the finest pianos in the world as well as exemplary customer support and service not only now, but well into the future.

We are beyond thankful for the honors we have received. But more than that, we are honored and thankful to be doing this work – that we believe is very important for all our health and happiness. …but – more than anything – we are thankful for all of our clients who have helped make this recognition possible. THANK YOU and here’s to another exciting year of music making and more awards to come!
